Noise, Weed & High rents
Former Tenant
Pros:
Close to 2 trains; 4 and the D.
Cons:
Do you like to hear noise from neighbors with dinosaur stomps or loud music blasting from the street all through the night? How about weed smell on your work clothes or when you first come into the building? Then you are in luck! Here you will enjoy so much noise & weed from all corners you'll be a brain-dead insomniac in no time. Don't forget the delicious rent amounts; you'll be paying thousands of dollars a month for a building that is worth $500. Don't worry, it wasn't always like this. Been here over 10 years and have seen the quality of this building plummet to the toilet. Speaking of toilets, yours will constantly have issues as all the drains are garbage.
Advice to owner:
Quit your day job.

Love my apartment!
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great neighbors, not loud or rude. I work from home so this area is the ideal place. Love the neighborhood, I have access to stores and good transportation (buses and trains). I can bike to Van Cortlandt park or run, I’m close enough and the park is beautiful. The super is very friendly and the times I needed work done in the apartment, it was done promptly. Overall, I don’t see myself moving out.
Cons:
I can hear the train from my bedroom window but it’s not too bad. The walls in my apartment are thin enough to hear one side of my neighbors very now and then. Loud cars drive by every now and then but it’s not too bad either. I don’t think these cons outweigh the pros.
Advice to owner:
Continue the good work! I have not had any issues with this, but please make sure to continue to have a clean building, hot water and heat during the winter.
