Review Summary for Ps 71 Associates LLC
Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent tenant feedback for PS 71 ASSOCIATES LLC buildings at 190 East 7 Street reflects a well-maintained property with attentive and friendly doormen, prompt maintenance, and valuable amenities like rooftop, gym, and laundry. Management is generally responsive to urgent issues, especially pest control and repairs, though some report delays or disorganization with non-emergency matters. Noise can be a challenge due to a younger, often rowdy tenant base, including students, and some concerns are raised about thin walls and parties. Heating can be inconsistent, and laundry facilities occasionally malfunction. Communication with management varies, with some tenants finding it difficult to reach them or get clear lease information.

Lived here for 3 years and it's been great! Skews post grad
Former Tenant
Pros:
Have lived here 3 years and has been great! The unit is great and modern for East Village. Doormen friendly. AMAZINGGGG view on roof. Pelotons in gym a plus (otherwise old equipment). No laundry machine issues.
Cons:
More minor but have a few. Migrant reticketed center across street has caused a bit of unrest. Building skews younger/post-grad so can be rowdy at times especially on roof. Management is sort of hard to reach easily. Kind of pricey, Doormen friendly but they aren't super strict about who they let in so safety could be concern for some but have never had issues.

Doesn’t get better than this in nyc
Former Tenant
Pros:
Doorman, no package theft, small gym, laundry in basement, roof, patios, big rooms, fair rent
Cons:
A lot of NYU students if you are older
Advice to owner:
keep it up

Incredible rooftop, cute apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
The rooftop views are unbeatable and I really enjoyed my time living here.
Cons:
The units are all mostly flexed, making some bedrooms really small and closet space tight

Feels like a college dorm
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good amenities and great location
Cons:
Rowdy tenants who party all throughout the weekends.
Good for young people
Former Tenant
Pros:
Roof access, gym, new laundry machines
Cons:
Had issues with appliances & toilet. They would fix it but not well, causing us to have them repair multiple times etc
Over 3 years ago
Nice (but busy) building
Former Tenant
Pros:
So many amenities (and don't typically have the issue of too many people trying to use them), great maintenance team, nice size apartments with updated features.
Cons:
It is a BIG building, so we have had major issues that were addressed immediately but if it is not an emergency things are put on the back burner.

We had our toilet flood our bathroom twice and both times someone was up immediately to fix it. As well, we had a mouse and they came up immediately and set traps but never came back to fill the hole.
Advice to owner:
Some of the machines in the gym have never worked
Over 3 years ago

Former Tenant
Pros:
Great roof for great parties
Cons:
can tend to be a little loud
Advice to owner:
nothing to say

Amazing luxury building at an affordable rent price
Former Tenant
Pros:
- amazing location in EV
- elevator
- every room has massive windows and lots of natural light
- beautiful rooftop
Cons:
- not responsive to work orders that are more work-intensive but important (e.g. kitchen vent not pulling enough smoke from cooking)
Great neighborhood, great rooftop
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good roof, nice doormen
Cons:
Far from subway, could be a little cleaner
Over 3 years ago
NYU students run this building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location
Laundry in building
Elevator
Cons:
Residents - NYU students with no regard for anyone else
Thin walls - can hear neighbors screaming at each other
Doormen are rude
Constant construction
Advice to owner:
Stop renting to students, make sure that they understand noise levels and mask policies
