Affordable rent but hard to get things fixed
Former Tenant
Pros:
Building is kept quite clean. Super lives on the premises. Many dogs in the building and neighbors are friendly. Very close to the subway and in the heart of Sunnyside. Rent is affordable. You get a lot of space for your money.
Cons:
It’s almost impossible to get the handyman to fix something and he doesn’t live on-site. (The super does not fix things). I had a big rodent problem and couldn’t get anybody to help me with it for a few weeks. Some of the older neighbors are very nosey and try to get into everybody’s business. The super stands outside and often reprimands people for things.
Advice to owner:
Make the garbage guy, Gino, your super or handyman. Mark is nice but it’s impossible to get him to fix anything. Put more cameras up in the lobby for safety.
