Filthy Building & Horrible Building Management
Former Tenant
Pros:
only thing I like about this building spacious apartment
Cons:
- filthy always - dirty - dirty staircases - broken lobby doors - gloomy lights in the hallways - always dirty - paint chipped and dirty walls in the hallway - the front of the building was always dirty - management office - extremely rude to their tenants - the super does not clean
Advice to owner:
change your workers at gilman management and new super that actually works on making sure the building is presentable and clean

Avoid at all costs
Former Tenant
Pros:
Relatively good community, wonderful tenant association fighting for their neighbors
Cons:
SO many roaches and mice Mold/mildew painted over by maintenance instead of being cleaned Ceilings and walls have cracks/holes exposing insulation Slow/non-existent maintenance/owner response time Little to no heat in Fall/Winter; banging heaters that are not flushed regularly Paint jobs done irregularly/chipping paint throughout the year with no maintenance Lack of renovations for long-time tenants, but newly renovated apartments given attention for newer tenants Wheelchair elevator inaccessible; key to turn on/off does not work; accessibility elevator malfunctioned very soon after being installed Packages consistently stolen Parking lot is small, not taken care of in any way and only available to about 5 cars in a 7-story, 40+ family apartment building

Don't move here
Former Tenant
Pros:
The only good thing about the apartment are the high ceilings.
Cons:
It's an old building with old building problems. The super takes months to fix any problems and when he does, it's with cheap materials and some guys he finds off the street. The building manager is a creep, he's a pinstripe suit away from looking like a goon, completely useless. Most of the neighbors are nice people but there's a handful that are just the lowest of the low. They trash the building common areas are well as the sidewalks, play loud repetitive music at odd hours, and leave cigarette buds all over the stairs.
Advice to owner:
I wish problems got fixed instead of being downplayed and delayed.

It’s gotten worse
Former Tenant
Pros:
Cheap rent for what it is
Cons:
Dirty, not well maintained, non-communicative management, nice and roaches, parts of building literally falling apart
Advice to owner:
Perfect location, terrible management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Right next to subway, big apartments, quiet neighborhood
Cons:
Litter out fronts, front door is often broken, leaky ceilings and mice, super is unresponsive at times, trash left in lobby
Advice to owner:
Maintenance/upkeep needs A LOT of work
