Okay place to live
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location is great and makes the apartment worth it - close to the L train and Maria Hernandez Park, close to shops on Knickerbocker and Irving, etc.
In-unit laundry.
Decent lighting in 2 of the 3 bedrooms.
Cons:
People who do not live in our building sit in our hallway smoking cigarettes. Those same people also painted our stoop red, then a month later painted it silver… when it was raining outside so paint got everywhere.
Very small kitchen and little storage space throughout the apartment.
The living room and the third bedroom face an alleyway with an insane amount of pigeons living in it.
There are wall AC units but the hallway has gas heat, so unfortunately the pipes rattle and bang a lot in the winter.
Packages get stolen all the time. It is very hard to receive packages there if you are not home 24/7.
The hallways and the front of the building is not being cleaned nearly enough. There are always beer cans and cigarette butts everywhere, just along with regular trash.
Advice to owner:
Hire someone to maintain the building’s appearance inside and out and respond to urgent maintenance requests and other tenant concerns in a quicker manner.

Beware of management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Barely anything aside from the look of the space
Cons:
Do not live here, we had frequent leaks in our apartment and it took so long to get management to respond and send anyone for repairs. Due to some rent controlled/stabilized units in the building, the management sets it as low priority
