Pretty exterior property but terrible building management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Overall the property was kept clean(ish) and mostly pest free. Courtyard was pretty. Accepted dogs of any breed which was great.
Cons:
Neighbors were loud and smoked frequently which would go through the heating vents into other apartments. There was mold and ceiling & wall damage from major water leaks when it rained that was never repaired despite lots of communication to the issue. Literally the ceiling was falling and there was black mold and nothing was done. The worst management company we have encountered ever in New York. No on site super so literally no one to help with anything since management doesn’t respond. Will never recommend any building with this management company. Never did receive pet deposit or security deposit back despite leaving the place cleaner than it was when we arrived and being told it was mailed out (and it never actually was). After following up that it was never received we never heard from management again (so it was clear it never really was sent out).
Advice to owner:
Please take tenants health and safety more seriously. It’s a great property, but very old and needs kept up properly, not just cheap bandaid fixes that don’t really address the main issues.
