Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant feedback on buildings managed by Nicolas Loizou reveals a mix of positives and significant concerns. Some appreciate the quiet atmosphere, decent water pressure, and laundry amenities, as well as the location near parks and transit. However, many renters express dissatisfaction with management responsiveness, frequent elevator breakdowns, pest control failures, and exaggerated apartment listings. Several reviews highlight issues with maintenance delays, rent hikes, and neglect of tenant needs. Communication gaps and the lack of consistent on-site superintendents frustrate residents. Overall, prospective renters should expect basic accommodations with common maintenance struggles and a management team often perceived as slow or unresponsive.

Doing the Bare Minimum

Pros

The building is basic, no frills.

Cons

Apartment listings for this building are typically false or heavily exaggerated. The listing for my unit stated central air, brand new appliances, brand new elevator, and live in super. None of these things are true. I've been here less than a year and we are on our third super (who does not live in the building). The elevator is like a death trap - I have no idea how it has managed to pass inspection. Update - DOB recently shut down the elevator. The heat and hot water go out constantly. It is impossible to get in touch with management, and the super lives 30+ minutes away and does not work on the weekends. Rent is incredibly overpriced for what you get. The hot water frequently goes out for extended periods of time. It is impossible to get in touch with anyone. The elevator also breaks down frequently.

Advice to the owners

Be honest in your apartment listings and take pride in your building.
