Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Tenants of buildings managed by 192 BSD REALTY LLC report a mix of experiences. Positives include responsive management addressing maintenance and pest control, clean common areas, respectful neighbors in someunits, and convenient transit access. However, there are recurring issues such as noise disturbances, pest problems, inconsistent cleanliness, and occasional slow responsiveness. Some units face challenges with natural light, outdated interiors, and inadequate amenities. Tenants advise improvements in noise complaint enforcement, better unit inspections before occupancy, and enhanced security measures. Overall, management shows willingness to engage but struggles to consistently maintain all properties to a high standard.

typical bushwick apt.
Former Tenant
Pros:
small walkup building, not too many units, with decent neighbors that know each other. extremely spacious units.
nice quiet-ish street though with convenient access to grocery, fresh vegetables.
had a mouse problem but they were responsive to send people to address it, patching up holes in the walls and setting traps
central air
even though i lived in a basement there was no flooding, mold, or bug issues. just one very cold winter when the central air just wasn't working for some reason.
Cons:
lack of natural light in the apt, especially as they converted parts of the basement into bedrooms. typical slumlord situation where they divide up what used to be a single family home into multiple bedrooms and rent out to young people looking for cheap rent and willing to tolerate less-than-ideal living situations.
had a mouse problem but they were responsive to send people to address it, patching up holes in the walls and setting traps
no laundry in building (typical)

lived here in 2010-2011
Former Tenant
Pros:
Not the worst place, lived on the third floor and liked the views and ability to go up to the roof.
Cons:
the neighbors were loud a lot and there were parties late into the night in the backyard with thumping bass. roaches and mice.
Advice to owner:

Great Apartment, No Frills
Former Tenant
Pros:
Very clean building and well kept over time. All neighbors are extremely respectful of each other, keeping packages safe, etc. Any time we’ve opened a maintenance ticket, we’re reached out to within hours (sometimes minutes!) to schedule something. All supers have been sweet and helpful, and the management company has been great.
Cons:
There can occasionally be strong pet odors in the hallway. One neighbor is specifically very nosy and will catch you in the hallway and trap you into conversation. Our unit specifically has very tall ceilings so A/C and heat got pricey at times.
Advice to owner:
Nothing - amazing job with this building!

The worst apartment building I’ve lived in
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nothing really. Walk up was fine
Cons:
So many things. Listed below in advice
Advice to owner:
Get cameras, actually check apartments before tenants move in so they’re clean, deal with prompt issues like smells (never resolved), help to better deal with noise complaints, etc.
