Reviews

Average nolita building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great neighborhood, quiet neighbors, recently (c) openigloo renovated apartments
Cons:
Garbage area was quite bad (c) openigloo (restaurant on the first floor (c) openigloo led to many rats). Dealt (c) openigloo with mice and roaches in (c) openigloo the apartment. Air conditioning/heating units (c) openigloo (one per bedroom, none in (c) openigloo living area) made electric bill (c) openigloo pretty expensive
Great building near the Hudson River
Former Tenant
Pros:
Multiple Elevators Doorman In-building Laundry Garbage and Recycling (c) openigloo Room Pet friendly Live-in Super
Cons:
Can hear dogs barking from (c) openigloo down the hall
Don’t live here
Former Tenant
Pros:
- close to subway
Cons:
- so many rats outside (c) openigloo - during warmer months had (c) openigloo cockroaches all over apartment - (c) openigloo management is so unhelpful and (c) openigloo will blame you for everything (c) openigloo - trash management is terrible (c) openigloo (reason why there are rats (c) openigloo all around apartment) - building interior (c) openigloo is visibly dirty - very (c) openigloo loud at night
Advice to owner:
Let someone who knows how to run an apartment take over
Gem of an apartment near Court Square
Former Tenant
Pros:
High quality apartment (condo), friendly (c) openigloo staff, well managed
Cons:
Small gym compared to other (c) openigloo luxury buildings
Great building Ingot a really old and no maintained unit
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location and amenities
Cons:
Long admission process
I’d recommend it but prices are absurd in comparison to the area
Former Tenant
Pros:
Amazing staff, couldn’t be better
Cons:
Extremely pricey for what you (c) openigloo get
Superintendent is not reliable
Former Tenant
Pros:
- Never had an issue (c) openigloo with cockroaches or rodents - friendly (c) openigloo neighbors (though a lot of (c) openigloo young people fresh out of (c) openigloo college)
Cons:
- packages getting stolen (packages (c) openigloo are just placed in the (c) openigloo area where you enter the (c) openigloo building) - newly renovated but hired (c) openigloo lazy contractors so some things (c) openigloo are just off or don’t (c) openigloo make sense - superintendent is (c) openigloo not reliable (you have to (c) openigloo really nag him to get (c) openigloo things done)
Advice to owner:
New superintendent
Great location, incredibly thin internal walls
Former Tenant
Pros:
Amazing location on top of (c) openigloo the 23rd St ACE line, (c) openigloo and same block as Whole (c) openigloo Foods. Corridors and gym are (c) openigloo nicely air conditioned. A couple of (c) openigloo the door staff are friendly (c) openigloo and competent.
Cons:
I'm moving out because the (c) openigloo internal walls are so thin, (c) openigloo I can hear my roommate (c) openigloo putting a spoon down on (c) openigloo a plate in the kitchen (c) openigloo from my bedroom. Just 1 elevator (c) openigloo for a reasonably sized building, (c) openigloo which they put out of (c) openigloo service during move ins and (c) openigloo move outs without any signage. Insufficient (c) openigloo furniture on the roof, such (c) openigloo as no shade / umbrellas.
Beautiful building 👍👍
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great doormen and very secure
Cons:
Loud from mt sinai on (c) openigloo 5th ave side of building
Need something fixed? Good luck
Former Tenant
Pros:
Roof deck, location is good, (c) openigloo balcony is nice
Cons:
My experience with this building (c) openigloo manager (MD Squared) has been (c) openigloo so poor that I created (c) openigloo an OpenIgloo just to review (c) openigloo them. I’ve lived in NYC (c) openigloo for almost a decade and (c) openigloo I have never had a (c) openigloo building manager or super this (c) openigloo unresponsive. Would love to know (c) openigloo what they do all day (c) openigloo considering they are absolutely not (c) openigloo managing their building. There is (c) openigloo no clear way to get (c) openigloo things fixed here. Submit a (c) openigloo request on the app? No (c) openigloo response. Text the super? No (c) openigloo response. Text management? Maybe a (c) openigloo response, but no fix. We have (c) openigloo had a broken heater, two (c) openigloo leaky sinks, and a broken (c) openigloo doorknob since moving in and (c) openigloo haven’t been able to get (c) openigloo any of them fixed. Just (c) openigloo a blatant lack of care (c) openigloo or professionalism. Issue with package theft (c) openigloo for over a year. When (c) openigloo we moved in the package (c) openigloo room and mailboxes didn’t lock. (c) openigloo Mail is strewn everywhere in (c) openigloo the package room and no (c) openigloo one has ever cleaned it (c) openigloo up. Allegedly they are fixing (c) openigloo but it has been 4 (c) openigloo months since we moved in (c) openigloo and we are still experiencing (c) openigloo package theft. Garbage is not emptied (c) openigloo nearly enough, garbage room on (c) openigloo each floor is usually overflowing (c) openigloo halfway through the week. No (c) openigloo proper separation of trash from (c) openigloo recyclables. Considering how much they charge (c) openigloo for rent, I would expect (c) openigloo a much better maintained building.
Advice to owner:
Please figure out repairs, packages and garbage. This building is so poorly maintained for the average rent price here.
