Review Summary for Hope Burgess
Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Tenant reviews reveal that buildings managed by Hope Burgess consistently face significant management challenges. Common issues include poor cleanliness, inadequate garbage management, persistent pest infestations, faulty heating, and frequent maintenance neglect. Tenants report unresponsive management and a lack of timely repairs, resulting in frustrations over unresolved structural problems like water damage and broken elevators. Neighbor relations vary, but noise levels frequently disrupt living conditions. Rent stabilization provides some relief in certain buildings, yet overall management neglect diminishes tenant satisfaction. Pros mainly center on location convenience and occasional helpfulness of superintendents. Prospective renters should expect subpar responsiveness and ongoing infrastructure concerns.

I wouldn't move here if you want a livable space
Former Tenant
Pros:
Neighbors are great
It's an alright block not too much happens here
Cons:
If you want water pouring through your ceiling, and walls, and heaters, for years the owner will never fix the structural cracks in this building since 1995. This Landlord does not care. There are pests mice roaches. A lot of water damage & mold in this building in a lot of the apartments. They will evade responsibility despite the number of tenants who have taken them to court. Eventually the tenants got tired of this and moved.
Advice to owner:
Stop being cheap & fix this building. There are elderly people who live here and children. Stop lying on the tenants when everyone who lives here knows the truth about the building conditions.
