Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant feedback for CHAD JEWELL-managed buildings, particularly at 770 St Nicholas Avenue, reveals significant concerns with management responsiveness, heating issues, and pest control. While some praise the super for being helpful, the overall sentiment points to inadequate upkeep, with complaints about poor heat during winter, repeated repairs with cheap materials, and an unmanaged pest problem. Cleanliness and garbage management receive mixed reviews, but noise levels and neighbor relations vary. Tenants warn against moving in due to ongoing neglect and unresolved maintenance problems, underscoring a need for improved communication and investment in building conditions.

HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT, Stay away

Pros

It's convenient, that's it.

Cons

Management does not respond to anything but a 311 ticket through the city. They are actively letting the building ROT.

Save your money

Pros

Great super that’s willing to fix and help you with anything wrong in the apartment. Neighbors are like family members and helpful.

Cons

During the winter your better off living outside since that’s exactly what the inside of the apartment feels like. No heat when it’s needed, but I promise you that when the weather hits a 45-55 degrees the heat is on blast like you needed it. The cheapest supplies to fix what ever is wrong in the apartment. He rather spend less and fix with a cheaper item and have it get broken again and repeat 6 months later than invest in the good to last years.
