Review Summary for Daniel Rohlman
Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent tenant reviews of buildings managed by Daniel Rohlman reveal a mixed management style. While some properties benefit from good cleanliness, convenient locations near Central Park, quiet neighbors, and responsive maintenance staff, significant concerns persist. Common issues include poor pest control, inadequate garbage management, slow and sometimes rude management responses, and security challenges. Rent increases and underwhelming amenities are also noted. Tenants often describe management as indifferent or unprofessional, highlighting inconsistent communication and a need for genuine tenant care. Prospective renters should expect decent environments but remain cautious about management’s responsiveness and building upkeep.

Nice enough building, wouldn't rent with Pine Management again
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location near Central Park and the subway, as well as many restaurants and grocery stores. Building is nice enough and fairly clean.
Cons:
Management does less than the bare minimum, is incredibly unresponsive, and is at times even rude. Despite this, they will charge you every chance they get, and will hike up your rent drastically every year.
Advice to owner:
Give a sh*t

Nice building in a good location
Former Tenant
Pros:
- right next to the park and a convenient subway stop/line
- quiet, friendly neighbors/very safe atmosphere
- great maintenance people
Cons:
- bug problems, pest control comes by once a month but late in the evening when it's not convenient
- sometime unresponsive to emails/calls, the office doesn't open til 9 so you have to wait til then to get a response

Management is atrocious
Former Tenant
Pros:
Neighbors are wonderful for the most part, there’s a real sense of community in the building.
Cons:
The management company is run by a bunch of idiot sociopaths. Think the Trump brothers but with less charm, if that’s even possible. I’ve always thought people were fundamentally good at heart until I dealt with these guys. They underpay their workers and hire agents barely out of college. They do the absolute bare minimum they can get away with when it comes to maintenance. Just genuinely horrible people. Also there are rent stabilized places in here, not sure why that’s not reflected. And it’s pet friendly so there’s that.

good spot to live
Former Tenant
Pros:
Clean, quiet, management responsive
Cons:
Random people buzzing from the street. Some of the flipped stuff (cabinets, paint) doesn’t have longevity.

Wouldn’t Wish It On My Worst Enemy
Former Tenant
Pros:
Neighbors are friendly and so very helpful & Close to park & subways B,C,A and 1.
Cons:
In as little of words as possible… Continuous mouse infestations, less than poor pest control or means to solve the issues. LIVING AMONST MICE FOR MONTHS. Poor communication and response time for any complaints or concerns (zero urgency). Disrespectful management to tenants constantly- degrading and condescending in their nature. Maintence is typically kind and helpful but do not wear the “all-knowing crown” that management does so they only can do what they can. Lack of understanding in simple procedures (2+2=?) by both management brothers. They will hire the cheapest and most unethical/illegal people for work on the building. Hope my review saved you!
Advice to owner:
Please save us all and don’t be a property owner any longer.

Nice and Newly Renovated
Former Tenant
Pros:
You literally can not hear ANYTHING from other apartments which is incredible. The floors are new, new paint, newish appliances - overall a clean building in a decent area.
Cons:
Certain units in building are not well lived in - renters faults not landlords.

You can do better than a Pine Management building!
Former Tenant
Pros:
it’s near the Park
Cons:
poorly maintained, no onsite super, lots of noise in the alley much of it by Pine Management workers, ancient washing machines and dryers, lobby and hallways are dingy and often dirty, right across from many blocks of projects, low security - packages get stolen regularly.
Advice to owner:
care a lot more about your tenants comments about how to improve living conditions
