Nice building at a cost

Cons:

Decent place to live
Former Tenant
Pros:
Building is very clean, and the doormen are friendly and always greet you. The facilities were always clean, and rarely used.
Cons:
The apartments are market rate. Come time to renew, our gross rent price increased 10%. If this will be a deal breaker for you, expect to move out once your lease term is up.

We also had a terrible upstairs neighbor who would run on their treadmill at very early hours, btwn 4-6am. Building management didn't do anything.

Rats in the streets, mice in the apartments
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice area. Close to the water and the Brooklyn bridge. Close to mass transit and 5 mins to the subway hub. Nice boutiques and a good selection of restaurants. All apartments have a washer dryer inside.
Cons:
The management is incapable of solving the rodent problem. Most apartments have a mice problem. It is recurrent, and I'm not convinced that the management wants to invest in solving the problem.

Love living here
Former Tenant
Pros:
I cannot think of a bad thing to say about this building. It is managed very professionally, the apartment was spotless and well maintained when I moved in and the front desk staff are amazing. Wonderful amenities too!
Cons:
I never want to leave! The shuttle bus was only Monday to Friday which was a pain but now they’ve extended it to weekends too which is great.
People whine about the distance to the subway but the M57 crosstown bus is right outside the door and takes you to Columbus Circle where you can catch the subway - the free shuttle takes you right there too!
Advice to owner:
The rents are a little on the high side especially for studios and one bedrooms but you get what you pay for!
Please please do something about the tenants that stick crap on their front doors - I’m talking about decorations which are tacky and detract from the building.

Overall Solid
Former Tenant
Pros:
Management is responsive, staff are pleasant and location is convenient to Riverside Park South.
Cons:
In our current apartment, the AC/heating unit in the bedroom is older and very loud. There is sometimes the smell of smoke in the hallways, even though the building is smoke-free.
Advice to owner:
