Nice super, personable management company

Pros

Laundry in the building, great. The building super is very nice and responsive. When we decided to break our lease early, the building management company was willing to let us out without penalty if we found replacement tenants. We ended up staying for the entire duration of the lease, but appreciated that this option was on the table after I asked the management company if this was possible. The neighbors are friendly if you say hi when you see them regularly and get to know them.

Cons

There are old apartments and new apartments in this old building, so roaches can be an issue if you aren't clean. This is only a problem if you don't take out trash regularly, so this wasn't an issue for us. Also, lots of rats in the outdoor trash cans.

Decent for the heights

Pros

Renovated apartment, dishwasher, laundry in unit, responsive super!

Cons

We never have hot water, we are on the top floor but it never gets nice and hot

Advice to the owners

Learn to like taking cold showers
