Great Location, Well Kept Building, but Roach Issues

Pros:
Generally well-kept building, central location is very convenient. Superintendent is very responsive and nice.
Cons:
I was in an unrenovated apartment and the unit had a significant roach issue. When you tell the management, they send an exterminator but do not try to fix the root issue - open holes in the walls that are unseen due to appliances covering them up. I have also had issues with pests coming up the drain. It made it very difficult to go on vacation and not be afraid to re-enter my apartment after being away for any more than a few days. Beware of any unrenovated apartments in this building for this issue - I tended to notice all the studios always were on the exterminator sign up.

Apartment is on a main avenue and is VERY noisy if you open the windows. It is even noisy when they are closed.

Elevator is very slow
Advice to owner:
Fix the roach issues at the source of the problem - not just an exterminator as a bandage solution

Excellent longstanding co-op community
Cons:
Absolutely no soundproofing between floors, if the person upstairs has a dog or talks loudly you'll hear everything.

Pros:
The super is fantastic. Even without being onsite he is super responsive. Units are recently updated, the dishwasher was great. Really good light in the apt too.
Cons:
The street corner is very active and can be noisy. Had a huge rodent problem that was never really resolved.
