Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent tenant reviews highlight mixed experiences at 30 Watts Street, Manhattan by Howard Ohayon. While the building boasts a great Soho location and mostly responsive management, complaints arise regarding cigarsmoke infiltration and traffic noise due to proximity to the Holland Tunnel. Issues with cleanliness, pests, and unresponsive management are concerning. Residents advise addressing the odor and noise problems, improving garbage management, and enhancing overall upkeep. Despite some positive aspects like ideal water pressure and neighborliness, the building falls short in addressing critical maintenance and environmental challenges. Consider alternatives for a more satisfactory living experience.

Hot and loud. Would not recommend
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location for going places but at the apartment you wish you weren't there
Cons:
Leave right next to the new holland tunnel entrance you will hear traffic 24/7 and you will not become immune to the honking. The place is also always hot. If you're a person that runs cold this place is perfect for you!
Advice to owner:
Fix the heat and replace the windows so that you can block out the noise

Beware of the noise and smell
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location in Soho
Cons:
Our unit sits two floors above a cigar bar, and it smells as if we are sitting in a cigar bar. We moved in during the summer and the smell was not noticeable, but now that we are in the winter months the smell is quite strong. It also gets noisy at rush hour because the street (Watts) leads directly to the Holland Tunnel.

Horrible building, horrible management
Former Tenant
Pros:
It’s a pretty good location
Cons:
Far too expensive to have a toilet in a closet, consistently dirty with roaches and mice, had a fly infestation, and mainly the management were complete scam artists. Do not live here.
