Went downhill after change in management

Pros:
Abe the super is great. Lots of cabinet space in kitchen. Great neighborhood
Cons:
After the change to True management there was an influx of roaches. Packages will be torn open and stolen out of the lobby. Management claims they don’t know if the cameras work. For any maintenance requests they ask you to put in a request in their app which they will then close and mark as complete without actually fixing anything. The payment portal they switched us too is a lot worse and charges a service fee. Very small bedrooms. There are rats that live in the trash cans so be careful taking the trash out when it’s dark.

-great super
-great location
-kitchen had lots of storage, but most units are different
-decent sized living room
-only saw one roach in the year we lived here
Cons:
-management was unresponsive, rude, completely unhelpful, and incompetent
-building is old - our apartment had visible water damage and mold (which was ignored when brought to mgmt) from cracks and leaks in the molding and walls
-50% of the outlets don’t work (also ignored by mgmt)
-bedrooms are tiny
-raised rent for our unit and other units 44% after COVID

good super, bad everything else

abe was a great super - responsive, helpful, and made sure we got our security deposit back
building was secure - locks always worked
street was pretty quiet considering the area
garbage mgmt was great
Cons:
semi updated but poorly maintained
everything was falling apart
pest problem was insane - had every kind of bug imaginable + mice
raised rent during covid
mgmt company ignored our requests for our security deposit until we filed a complaint with the attorney general (then tried to make us feel bad for doing so)

Great location. Lived here for a short time in 2019 and miss it. Would def move back.
Cons:
The L train.

Great location and building was very clean.
Cons:
The bathtub got clogged a lot and sometime we didnt have hot water for a few days

choice management is useless and price gouges

close access to the trains, four units per floor with friendly tenants, great super
Cons:
management asked me to resign during covid at the same pre-covid price- when i moved out they listed the unit for $800 per month cheaper. management does not respond timely or resolve issues and generally does not care about you. building had a scary laundry room in the basement and “backyard access” is a joke.

The management company is unresponsive and rude. We had water pouring from our door frame and they just simply didn’t reply.
