Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent reviews of 180 Water Street in Manhattan emphasize its modern, clean, and well-maintained luxury apartments with friendly doormen and attentive staff. The building offers desirable amenities including a gym, rooftop, pool (though sometimes with extra fees), valet, and resident events. Residents appreciate the prime FiDi location and secure environment. However, issues raised include noise from neighbors and thin walls, occasional management unresponsiveness, and steep rent increases. Some tenants note challenges with pool fees, elevator speed, and limited natural light in inner units. Overall, the building is favored for its amenities, cleanliness, and staff but could improve noise control and management responsiveness.

No complaints, and your money goes farther here in FiDi

Pros

Building is well kept and doormen and staff are all very kind.

Cons

Location. Accessible for sure, but not much to do around here

180 Water st.

Pros

- hot water is great - clean - a lot of events for the tenants - great amenities - responsive maintenance

Cons

Just got bought out by a new management and they are adding a TON of new amenities. Amazing but we will probably get pushed out of here with the rent increase

Q: What is the average age range for people living here? do you feel safe?

I would say average age is around 32, families live in 3-bedrooms. Half the units are studios, so lots of college kids and recent grads working on Wall Street. Safe, sure.
