Review Summary for 85 Pitt Street
Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews of 85 Pitt Street reveal a mixed experience for renters. The building offers a convenient location near transit and nightlife, with some tenants appreciating quiet neighbors in certain units. However, many highlight serious issues including poor garbage management, pest infestations (notably cockroaches), and frequent package theft. Management responsiveness is widely criticized for rudeness and delays in repairs, particularly heating and plumbing. Noise varies, but safety concerns about the neighborhood's proximity to halfway houses and drug activity are significant. While some find it suitable for budget or student living, renters advise substantial improvements in security, management professionalism, and building maintenance.

fair college apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
Never had issues with bugs, management was somewhat responsive. Good college apartment if you’re willing to sacrifice space.
Cons:
Not an ideal apartment if you value space or thick walls.
Advice to owner:
Be more helpful when tenants lose keys

DO NOT LIVE HERE
Former Tenant
Pros:
Building was mostly clean, had a little patio, laundry in basement
Cons:
located next to a bunch of halfway houses. they charge rent as if it's located in the heart of the LES but it's actually on one of the worst streets. Move one street over and its great, but here? NO. i walked by people shooting up and smoking crack every single day. ALSO they did not keep the heat on even though legally required to until may. it was freezing for a month in there so i had to call 311 multiple times on them.
Advice to owner:
keep in mind you're on a shitty street so rent should be significantly cheaper
