Are the loud pipes a deal breaker here? Has landlord taken a look to try and resolve?

Depends whether you value sleep. They are extremely loud in the winter and consistently wake you up. Asked the super and landlord to resolve this many times while I lived there but they, as with all other issues, are unwilling to even acknowledge a problem.
