Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews for 160 First Avenue reveal a mixed tenant experience. The building benefits from a central and quiet location with professionally responsive management praised in some cases. However, many renters report severe pest infestations including roaches, flies, and rodents, exacerbated by poor building maintenance and garbage management. Some apartments suffer from heating and appliance issues, with complaints about inadequate landlord support and disregard for tenant rights. Despite occasional pest control efforts, the overall cleanliness and building upkeep remain problematic. Prospective renters should weigh the convenient location against ongoing maintenance and pest challenges before committing.

Never rent here
Former Tenant
Pros:
Central Location but Quiet
Cons:
The building is disgusting. Tons of roaches (dead or alive) in the entrance or stairs. The garbage is stored inside the building and so many restaurants are nearby, attracting all kind of pest. In a few weeks living there, I had roaches (huge ones) and mice. The apartment was poorly maintained allowing pest to enter through holes and pipes. Terrible and traumatic experience. Kenny, the super was nice and understanding. The Management was understanding as well but they rented the apartment just a week after I left, so it clearly did not allow time for them to do the needed renovations and show they don't care about tenants.
