Unclean and Unsafe
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building is at a great location in East Village, within walking distance of fabulous restaurants, clubs, etc.
Cons:
My apartment was not well cared for by the landlord or previous tenants and my landlord didn't seem to care about the conditions. There was a gaping crack in the front door of the apartment (large enough to see clearly into the apartment) from what appeared to be an attempted break-in. Furthermore, there was a large hold in the corner ceiling of my bedroom that was leaking an unknown fluid onto the heater (it had been doing it long enough that the liquid rusted out a hold in the heater). Finally, the apartment was infested with mold, but the black mold in the bathroom and AC units were the worst. The landlord didn't seem to care too much until I made it clear that it was black mold and that is posed a threat to my health. His response was to cover and replace, but he did not seem to care about fixing the core issues so they wouldn't happen again. Overall, the apartment felt so unsafe and health hazardous that I left. It was probably the most disgusting apartment I've ever set foot in. RENTERS BEWARE OF THIS LANDLORD/PROPERTY OWNER! From my one experience with N&S Sassouni Management, they were terrible about responding to my emails and questions (they either didn't respond or didn't address my questions/concerns at all) and they are very cheap about fixing things.
Advice to owner:
Please do a better job at keeping your units in safe and livable conditions. Based on the legal advice I received, there were many health codes broken in the apartment and it put my health and the health of others at risk.

A mixed experience
Former Tenant
Pros:
Large living area Sold as a 2 bed price when could've (and later did) market as a 3 bed
Cons:
Didn't properly clean the apartment prior to move in
Over 2 years ago
They never help you with anything and will try to screw you over.
Former Tenant
Pros:
The neighbors have lived here for years and are original east village couple.
Cons:
They never fix anything. Including necessities like mold in fridge.
Advice to owner:
Fix your tenants problems as soon as possible before they call 311, because I know they have previous legal cases.
