Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent tenant feedback for 145 2 Avenue highlights its prime Manhattan location with excellent access to subways, shops, and nightlife, making it popular among students and young professionals. Buildings are generally well-maintained with responsive maintenance staff and useful amenities like elevators. Apartments feature good water pressure and decent heating, though heating can be inconsistent. While neighbors are friendly, noise levels, especially from nearby nightlife, and occasional presence of homelessness can be bothersome. Garbage management and pest control have room for improvement, with some reports of rats and ongoing scaffold presence. Great ev apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location is amazing access wise to subways grocery stores restaurants bars etc, Phil the maintenance guy is the homie, my unit was well updated , lovely downtown view. Elevator is small but there and that’s half the battle!
Cons:
Being on this corner is very loud on Thurs-sat night from bar traffic. There’s homelessness / riff raff here and there but usually not toooo bad. The garbage outside of the apt sucks , the dumpster being right by the door you’re often walking through walls of garbage. we never had pest issues in our unit but rats outside because of the trash was common
Advice to owner:
More dumpsters?

A fine building... nothing fancy
Former Tenant
Pros:
The super and everyone who worked in the building was so kind and helpful. The location is great and there's an elevator.
Cons:
The heat would go out in the winter often and the management is relatively absent so you know they're not fixing issues fully.
