Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews of 177 Bleecker Street indicate mixed opinions. Tenants praise its prime location but express dissatisfaction with pest issues like recurring mice sightings, negligent management, and outdated facilities. Complaints about hot water, noise, misleading listing photos, and delayed essential services are common. While some appreciate the responsive superintendent and convenient amenities like in-unit laundry, others warn against moving in due to ongoing pest problems and poor property management practices. Recommendations include improving pest control, updating the building, and enhancing owner responsiveness for a better living experience.

Mouse problem + terrible management
Former Tenant
Pros:
good location - that’s it
Cons:
Had a terrible mouse problem and had to threaten legal action before management would do anything useful about it. Packages would get stolen sometimes or dropped at an unsecured fed ex checkpoint
Advice to owner:
Hire a different/better pest management company

No hot water, mice, illegal super
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location was nice, but the building is not worth the rental prices.
Cons:
The hot water goes out at least once a week, and because the super does not live nearby (which is illegal) it takes forever for it to be resolved. My apartment always had mice no matter what I did, and pest control was useless. The building is so old there are just mouse holes everywhere that are impossible to fill. Super noisy if you face the street. They also just recently started using crazy AI/staged photos for their listings that look NOTHING like the actual unit! So misleading
Advice to owner:
Get a super who actually lives nearby and stop faking listing photos.
