Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews for 12 East 22 Street emphasize its prime Manhattan location, spacious units with high ceilings, and consistent cleanliness. Tenants appreciate the attentive and responsive maintenance team and superintendents that keep the building well-managed. Water pressure and heating are strong, while pest control is highly effective. However, noise from neighbors and hallways can be an issue due to limited soundproofing. Rent is considered high given the lack of amenities and somewhat dated interiors, including cracked popcorn ceilings. Some renters note occasional security concerns like homeless individuals in the lobby and missing packages, though these are generally resolved promptly. Overall, the building is favored for location and management despite room for updates.

Very well maintained, fab location
Former Tenant
Pros:
Building is very clean and the maintenance team is constantly around, which is great. Units are large, high ceilings. Not super luxe apartments but good enough considering location and building.
Cons:
Expensive considering no amenities and not luxe finishes but good enough.
