Great Location, Okay Building

Pros

Very nice staff. Great management. Amazing location.

Slightly overpriced for how small some units are. It is on a noisier street. Some bathrooms are tiny and need updating.

Loved living here

Pros

Very attentive staff, my (renovated) apartment was lovely, super nice appliances, fabulous and huge bathroom (says a lot for NYC), central air, and decently priced for what you get. Central location and never ever had a package stolen. Never had to fight for laundry. Loved using the well maintained roof!! I only moved because I was moving out of the city but I honestly loved it here and would rent again. And I loved that they decorate the lobby for holidays :) Got my security deposit back in full!

Cons

Biggest con was the loiters across the street. There’s scaffolding across the way and people would be out there EVERY NIGHT (and I’m talking full families with young children) making noise, sometimes until the late hours. While it never really interrupted my sleeping, it was annoying. And the parades on Madison Ave. If this building was 5 blocks south, it would be PERFECT.

How kid friendly is this building?

The folks who live here tend to be young professionals. I didn't see many families/kids in the building from when I lived there, though that does not mean it's not kid friendly. Just a note, if your kids are quite young (i.e., in a stroller), the front door swings outwards (not mechanized) and then you have to go up 3-4 stair steps to get to the main lobby / elevator level.
