My first nyc apt
Former Tenant
Pros:
It’s located in the heart of the city. Being so close to union square is a dream. The actual apt has tall ceilings, bright white walls, and it feels safe even without a doorman.
Cons:
I’ve never lived anywhere else in NYC so maybe all older building have this problem, but the pipes in the bathroom are constantly rattling and banging.
Advice to owner:
It would be convenient if the super had texting or email. He speaks Spanish and since I don’t speak Spanish, there’s a communication barrier over the phone.

Gross but near union sq
Former Tenant
Pros:
Average rent prices. Good location.
Cons:
Old fixtures, gross garbage management, noisy neighbors and thin walls
Advice to owner:
Clean the garbage “patio” twice a day. There are mice EVERYWHERE.
