Review Summary for 50 Lexington Avenue
Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews of 50 Lexington Avenue praise its cleanliness, strong water pressure, effective heating, and friendly neighbors, creating a generally pleasant living environment. Tenants consistently appreciate the responsive and approachable management and doormen. The building benefits from a great location and well-maintained common areas, though some note ongoing hallway renovations and aging amenities like the gym and pool. However, several residents express concern about the congregation of homeless individuals and college students near the building's public plaza, impacting the overall safety perception. Pest control and noise levels receive mixed feedback, indicating room for improvement in these areas.

Homeless Enclave Outside Building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Doormen are very nice and responsive.
Cons:
Building has become a shelter for homeless people who hang outside the building along with college kids who smoke marijuana at the entrance. No respect for tenants even if they have little kids. Building can’t do anything about it since the plaza outside the building is public. They are mice in the building as well. Previous super was awful.
Advice to owner:
Fix the plaza
