Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Tenant feedback for 162 West 54 Street reveals a mixed experience. Positives include a convenient Midtown location, spacious apartments, and friendly neighbors. The building benefits from generally helpful doormen and a responsive superintendent, with clean common areas and well-managed garbage. However, several renters note ongoing issues with heating and air conditioning inefficiencies, dated hallways, and pest concerns in some units. Noise is expected due to the central location, and some feel management lacks transparency and urgency, especially regarding maintenance and renovation communication. While many recommend living here for its amenities and community, addressing repairs and improving landlord responsiveness could enhance tenant satisfaction.

Great building new super needed
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good amenities and friendly neighbors overall all no complaints on the building
Cons:
Super does not fix appliances really. They do not fix anything truely. Broken part in kitchen appliance for years since lived in building and no urgency even when I have out in request multiple times. It can get nosy but you are in the middle of 7 ave so thats to be expected
