Fine apartment, no support from super or landlord
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good size apartments, a lot of potential in common space (beautiful old marble work) generally functioning interior. I generally liked living here but the management company made it difficult to get anything done since they don’t answer phones and they don’t call back.
Cons:
Management office is unreachable and living in the pre-email era. No way to contact them other than snail mail or phone which is hardly answered, have to mail checks. They’re very bad about communicating with tenants about issues there may be. Stairwell looks like it’s never been mopped, door to street is often broken, requests for fixes sometimes were answered but not always, and if things were tended to there is no follow up, just someone randomly showing up not scheduled. I would be surprised if they ever contacted a tenant via phone. They send outdated mail notices, things due back to them the day you receive them- and if you have to send back by mail is impossible.
Advice to owner:
Get a renters portal to have online payments, maintenance requests, and other generic community information available.
