great location, nice neighbors, minimal sunlight in some units
Pros
- AMAZING location, really can't be beat - great helpful staff - generally quiet in terms of outside neighborhood noise - interior is a different story as noted below - great heat in the winter but this is also a con - like any old NYC building the heat can get intense and you have no control over it
Cons
- walls are very thin, you can hear everything happening in the neighboring apartments including conversations. Lots of noise when people are in the hallway or using the elevator - layouts can be a little bit weird - lots of doors, windows, radiators, etc preventing easy furniture arrangements - laundry room has strict hours 8am-10pm which was sometimes inconvenient - units on the sides of the building get minimal direct sunlight due to buildings next door blocking the view - building is not accessible - there are stairs to access the lobby and basement from outside - the lease says no pets but there are a LOT of dogs in the building and they bark - I am not a dog person so I'm not such a fan
Great Pre War Building
Pros
The apartments that are south facing have beautiful uninterrupted views of the UWS. The 1 bedroom is big with high ceilings
Cons
There is only 1 elevator
