Solid UWS Building

Pros

Management is responsive, the block is lovely, very few issues over 2 years in the building.

Cons

Heaters & pipes are old (though can't really ding a pre-war brownstone for this), expect banging from them in the winter.

Expensive for an average apartment

Clean apartment and a quiet area.

Cons

The worst is the water. You never know if you’re going to get hot water or cold water in the shower. The shower nob does absolutely nothing. The radiators come on randomly and never at optimal times. All the radiators leak. There was a leak in our ceiling. It was fixed in a timely manner, but still inconvenient. The price. I know NY prices and you don’t exactly get a lot of bang for your buck at these apartments.
