More than meets the eye
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good interior space
Cons:
Shoddy craftmanship across the apartment, particularly plumbing. Heat (either not working at all, or unable to control with any precision) a frequent issue in winter.
Limited trash - often left to pile up in summer heat despite having only 2 tenants, attracting rodents and roaches in the outdoor area at night.
Building security is also an issue — lobby area cannot be adequately locked, leading to package theft and even entry attempts.
Landlord also has a habit of non-renewing family tenants and attempting to pass through ordinary wear and tear costs to tenants, as poor contractor work has caused cost over runs.
