Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent reviews for 200 West 82 Street highlight its excellent Upper West Side location and spacious, well-lit apartments with strong water pressure and good storage. Tenants value the friendly neighbors and relatively quiet environment. However, the building shows signs of aging, with issues like drafty windows, inconsistent heating, and some pest problems. Management and maintenance responsiveness receive mixed feedback; while some find them timely, others report slow responses and ongoing infrastructure problems, including broken intercoms and dirty hallways. Concerns also include occasional safety hazards like icy steps and unreliable front doors. Despite flaws, many renters recommend the building for its location and community atmosphere.

Decent but old building with mediocre management

Pros

It is mostly clean and we had no major issues.

Cons

We had mice and roaches at certain points during our 2 years. Heat is very hot but manageable. Management is only somewhat responsive. They usually got back to us but not very quickly.
