Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews for 230 East 44 Street highlight its prime Manhattan location near Grand Central, friendly doormen, and prompt maintenance as strong positives. The building offers amenities like a gym, rooftop, and laundry facilities, though space within apartments is notably small. Common issues cited include frequent elevator breakdowns, pest problems mainly due to basement garbage storage, and inconsistent heating and hot water in colder months. Management responsiveness varies, with some praising quick fixes while others report slow or insufficient responses. Noise levels and neighbors generally receive positive remarks, but upkeep of gym equipment and cleanliness outside units could be improved.
