Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent tenant reviews for 5 Tudor City Place in Manhattan reveal a mix of experiences. While some praise the building's convenient location and attentive doormen, concerns arise about pest issues, slow management responses, and outdated building infrastructure. Roach and rodent sightings, noise disturbances, and occasional water shut-offs are recurring problems. Although the building offers fair rents and a quiet neighborhood, improvements in pest control, maintenance efficiency, and communication with residents are needed. Overall, the building may suit those seeking affordability in a historic setting but require patience with ongoing issues.

Rent at your own peril
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building is tucked away in a quiet corner of Midtown East. The parks are very nice and the many bodegas within Tudor City are convenient. It's a slice of (cheaper) Gramercy in the middle of Manhattan.
Cons:
The building is old and in need of serious upgrades/repairs. I can't even count the number of times I found a live roach in my bathroom. I also saw multiple mice in my apartment. On top of that, management is absolutely awful and they nickel and dime you on everything. I ended up moving out because the unit above me would not stop banging on the floor at all hours of the day and night and also smoked incessantly. This is supposed to be a non-smoking building.

Only saw water bugs twice in one year. Had rodent chew through the floor- took several days to get pest control out.
