Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Reviews for 400 East 58 Street reveal a well-maintained and quiet building with excellent doormen and responsive superintendents, contributing to a positive living experience. Tenants appreciate the clean common areas, strong water pressure, and solid walls ensuring sound privacy. However, some express concerns about significant annual rent increases, limited amenities such as outdoor spaces and lounges, and occasional maintenance issues like plumbing. Complaints also include a lack of flexibility in lease terms and perceived high charges from the superintendent. Overall, the building appeals to those valuing attentive staff and quiet surroundings but could improve tenant retention through enhanced amenities and more accommodating management policies.

Good experience, but over priced
Former Tenant
Pros:
Responsive and helpful management. The doormen are so nice!
Cons:
Significant rent increases each year with lease renewal which is what eventually caused me to leave, otherwise I would have stayed for many years. They seem to keep units open and not listed on the market for a long time to control demand. My newly renovated unit has not been relisted since I moved out 6 months ago and is sitting empty.

Pros:
Amazing doormen! A package of mine got lost and they spent days looking for it until it was found! Called other buildings etc. They never miss a beat!
Clean laundry room! Always able to get a machine.
Very thick walls. I have never heard a neighbor above of below.
When anything needed fixing, the super came within hours.
