Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews of 126 East 83 Street highlight its excellent location and affordable rent in the Upper East Side, with spacious apartments featuring charming original details. However, persistent issues overshadow these benefits: chronic unresponsiveness and poor communication from management, inadequate maintenance, malfunctioning intercoms, pest infestations, and garbage problems leading to rat presence. Heating and safety concerns, including past fire hazards and faulty equipment, are serious drawbacks. While some tenants praise the super, overall management is criticized for negligence and lack of professionalism. Prospective renters should weigh the appealing location against significant management and building maintenance challenges.

Very Difficult Management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great Location and relatively cheap price for the UES
Cons:
A management that is completely unresponsive to any issues, whether it be for the building or the individual apartments. Due to their severe lack of communication, issues that arise can remain a problem for quite some time unfortunately.
Advice to owner:
Hire a real building manager and super to looks after the building and tenant issues!
