Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews highlight 123 East 90 Street in Manhattan as desirable. Tenants appreciate the spacious units, responsive supers, and fair pricing with stable renewals. While the pre-war charm is valued, issues like older appliances and occasional pests were noted. Suggestions include improving common area cleanliness and adding rooftop access. Despite some drawbacks like package theft and challenging staircases, neighbors are friendly, noise levels are low, and management is cooperative. Overall, it's a good choice for those seeking an affordable place with a classic NYC feel in a convenient location.

Classic pre-war building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Apartments are large and priced well, Super is really nice and responsive. Price doesn't increase drastically each time I resign the lease.
Cons:
It's a classic pre war building, apartments are clean when you move in but nothing extraordinary. Older appliances, but I'd rather pay less than have everything brand new.

Solid walk up
Former Tenant
Pros:
Quiet, neighbors kept to themselves, relatively clean, super Izet is a really nice guy overall and pretty quick to help. Management co is pretty easy to work with, but they don’t negotiate much. The apartments are classic NY walk ups, with some charm and the dust/many layers of paint that come with it. Lots of space but weird layouts so it’s not all usable.
Cons:
Super could sometimes be hard to get a hold of (wanted to only stop in for repairs in the middle of the day, which is challenging if you work office hours). Package theft is definitely a problem. Stairs very narrow and steep, even for a walk up- made moving a challenge. Trash management was unclear at times. Double locking doors with two separate keys (rather than a fob) got annoying at times. Steam heat was aggressively hot half the year. If you want your whole deposit back, you have to grease the hand of the super.
