Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent tenant reviews for 242 East 80th Street highlight mixed experiences. Positive aspects include friendly neighbors, a quiet environment, good cleanliness, and a responsive owner in some cases. However, there are concerns about poor garbage management, heating issues, noise problems, and unaddressed pest control issues by the management. Tenants appreciate the presence of amenities such as an elevator but report outdated units and unfulfilled promises by the owner and management. Overall, renters advise caution due to inconsistent responsiveness and honesty from the management, affecting the overall satisfaction with the building.

Owner Ignores a problem until it is too late
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice people, great Super
Cons:
The owner and his agent lie to tenants about problems.... our buzzer broke (again) and we were told it was "Amazon's fault" and they had to fix....6 weeks no buzzer
Advice to owner:
Itis not all about the Bejamins, you have a responsibility (which you choose to ignore) to your tenants.

Not many complaints
Former Tenant
Pros:
It’s quiet, feels secure, low key and there’s an elevator!!!!
Cons:
I’ve seen a mouse a few times in my apartment over the past 3 years and the super does send pest control once a month if you request it but I feel like they’re not doing much to prevent it at all. Also the unit is really really outdated
