Roach Infestations Throughout
Former Tenant
Pros:
Super is responsive, but not very effective
Cons:
The lawyer who lives in unit 4A has been hoarding for decades, and is physically unable to leave the apartment. Living in disgusting, unsanitary conditions - breeding roaches throughout the whole building. They're literally coming from everywhere; drains, the hallway, electrical outlets/lightswitches, etc. He leaves personal items like cat food and litter in the hallways, creating dangerous fire hazards for every tenant in the building. He leaves his door wide open for no reason at all, other than to let the smell of death and cat urine flow into the hallways.
This apartment is a nightmare. There is roach feces underneath all of the surfaces of the kitchen and bathroom and inbetween cabinets. Roach eggs found in the oven and dishwasher (have also been doused with insecticide and are no longer safe to use, but management won't replace). Management refuses to provide cleaning services, and won't act on the neighbor most likely because they're afraid of being sued.
Advice to owner:
Scott K. Nigro, Esq., the property owner - stop obsessively posting about politics on social media and learn to treat your tenants like humans beings. If you call yourself a progressive, then act like one.
