Great place with horrible management
Pros
All three apartments have great space. 3rd floor apartment has huge walk-in closet, lots of natural light in 2nd and 3rd floor bedrooms. Nice sky-light in bathroom of 3rd floor apartment. All apartments have North and south facing windows. First floor has backyard, 2nd floor has a patio and 3rd floor has deck. Just installed peepholes on 2 apartments less than a month ago. Heat and hot water included. Quiet neighborhood with great neighbors.
Cons
No sunlight in any of the living room spaces. Some of the bedrooms are advertised as two bedrooms but are really just spacious one bedrooms. Horrible management company, does not follow through, very lazy Superintendent. Management company does not let ConEd in so gas bill is an estimate every month. Huge mice problem, so many 311 calls have been put in and requests for exterminator this building needs it consistently, there are also water bugs. No individual mailboxes, no doorbell or automatic access in building, always have to leave apartment to open door for guests, third floor main door looks like a closet door.
Advice to the owners
You have a really nice building, it’s kind of sad that you do not cater to the tenant needs of wanting the building exterminated due to the mice infestation, sad you won’t just give each tenant their own mail box or even a door bell. What does the rent go to? Stop being lazy and trying to raise prices when you don’t take care of the building. Clean the hallways and the building, it’s only 3 floors. Also the outside area is atrocious and you should keep up with shoveling on snowy days so people do not slip and fall.
Mice. Poor management. Multiple 311 calls
Pros
The square footage is nice
Cons
Major rodent infestations. Poorest, meanest, laziest management EVER. Over priced apartments for horrible management. Broken windows, major safety issue. Lack of milboxes for individual tenants. Constantly nasty garbage area. Unswept hallways. Occasional waterbugs. Flood/leaking issues a few times a year. No peeohole on doors.
Advice to the owners
Just do your job. People pay you to manage the building, so manage it
