It's gone so downhill

Great location, modern furnishings... kind of
Cons:
When I moved here, the building was well maintained and there was an assigned super who took care of it. Since then, management has changed a few times and there's a rotating cast of handymen who are kind but don't have an investment in the building. Repair requests are not answered (one has been going on two years) and even the hallways, which used to be beautiful and made the barebones walkup palatable, have gone to hell. The management can't even keep the front steps in good condition – there's almost always a fall risk. Speaking of, if it snows the area in front of the building will be the last patch of the entire Upper West to be salted. Construction is also generally shoddy: the furnishings look nice and are semi-modern but ultimately are poorly assembled. An easy example is that all of the closets have bars that are too close to the shelf above them to actually easily fit hangers in and out: this is really Contractor 101 stuff.
Advice to owner:
Do repairs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pros:
Can't pass up the location of this place. Steps away from B and C trains and Central Park. Quick walk to Whole Foods. Units are small but appliances are updated. Water pressure is great.
Cons:
50/50 on whether the property manager decides she wants to be responsive that day. We've had issues that were fixed within hours; others it took weeks or even months. Some issues just never got fixed and after following up 2-3 times, I just let go.
First floor unit gets incredibly hot in the summer and unbearably cold in winter. Be prepared to spend $150+ on your electric bill if using space heaters/fans.
