Review Summary for 82 W 105 St
Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews praise 82 W 105 St for its quiet location, responsive management, and well-managed garbage. Tenants appreciate the reasonable pricing and quiet neighbors, especially for students. However, concerns include slow responses from management, inadequate pest control, and heating issues. Some advise the building to improve responsiveness, upgrade maintenance, and consider including heat in rent. Despite mixed opinions on management and maintenance, the building's affordability and peaceful neighborhood make it a suitable choice for those seeking a tranquil living environment in the UWS area near the park.

Convenient Location and Responsive Landlord
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good location, quiet neighbors, very low key. Garbage management was very good and the landlord and super were very responsive to any issues. No issues with pests, regular fumigation. Laundry was easy.
Cons:
Had issues with my water heater, but the landlord/super was always there to fix it quickly.
Advice to owner:
Might need to replace water heater in unit.

Great, Affordable Property with Honest Management
Former Tenant
Pros:
My partner and I lived at 82 West 105th for almost two years. We absolutely recommend the building. The landlord was very nice and easy to work with and the super is also really friendly. And the apartments are reasonably priced for the area, unlike many other apartments nearby.

The building is extremely quiet; it felt like no one lived there. No shenanigans, mostly chill Columbia students, and the building is built like a tank. We heard our upstairs neighbor maybe twice in the time we lived there. By far quietest building we've ever lived in.

The community garden next door is an asset if you're on that side of the building like we were; it's nice to just have an open space outside your window and not directly facing another building.

There are tons of really friendly long-time residents who live on this street. I really don't agree with or understand some of the bad reviews for this building. If you don't want to spend a fortune, want to be in UWS and near the park, this place is a perfect option. These are affordable apartments in a quiet building with quiet, safe neighbors. We really had nothing worth mentioning to be upset about.
Cons:
There's really nothing important to complain about, we were totally happy living there for a couple years.
