Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews of 145 West 96 Street reveal a mixed experience. Tenants consistently praise the friendly neighbors, doormen, and convenient subway access. However, management responsiveness is often criticized, especially regarding pest control, heating issues, and noise complaints. Some reviewers highlighted cleanliness and garbage management concerns, while others noted strong water pressure and pet-friendly policies. Street noise and outdated elevator systems pose occasional inconveniences. Rent increases and perceived cost-cutting by management have caused dissatisfaction among residents. Overall, the building has a strong community feel but would benefit from improved management responsiveness, modernized infrastructure, and enhanced maintenance to elevate tenant satisfaction.

Used to be amazing
Former Tenant
Pros:
The other tenants and doormen/elevator men are absolutely lovely.
Cons:
This building was amazing until it sold to TriHill management. The managing company is horrific. I had a roach problem and they were completely unresponsive. They turned the heat off in the winter and are constantly looking for ways to cut cost and screw over residents.
Advice to owner:
Stop trying to gouge renters and just be humans.
