Nice apartments; dishonest landlord.
Pros
Owners were responsive to maintenance requests. Quiet street.
Cons
The landlady withheld the security deposit for months and ended up keeping it in its entirety for no documented reasons. Landlady does not keep her word. I could have sued, but being inexperienced as a renter she took advantage of that. Insulation in winter is very poor in ground unit. Sound insulation with basement is also poor. Basement unit tenant suffered a lot hearing our footsteps but there was nothing we could do. We should’ve known better when the broker they hired from Compass made false representations to us in the process.
Advice to the owners
Don't make up disingenuous excuses to take people's whole security deposits!
