Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews for 383 West 125 Street in Manhattan highlight its excellent central location near subway access and generally spacious apartments with good natural light. Tenants appreciate the well-maintained units and some responsive superintendents. However, recurring issues include unresponsive management, slow maintenance repairs, persistent noise from nearby streets and emergency vehicles, and concerns about cleanliness and pest control. Garbage management is mostly satisfactory, though hallways and common areas sometimes lack upkeep. The building attracts tenants valuing convenience and decent heating but suggests improvements in owner responsiveness, noise mitigation, and overall building maintenance to enhance livability.

Good middle of the road option
Former Tenant
Pros:
-spacious living room -Great natural light, all windows face street -apt and appliances in good condition -trash and recycling cans in basement
Cons:
-management/super not very responsive. Hot water stopped working a few times and it took them a long time to fix -there was laundry in building for first couple months and then they broke and haven’t been fixed despite many requests (we’re coming up on a year) -small bedrooms
Advice to owner:
More attention to needs of the tenants
