This building has everything
Former Tenant
Pros:
Cheap, cheap, cheap rent
Cons:
This building has everything... a slumblord, an admin that spends more time smoking outside of the management office than addressing any issues/repairs needed, drug dealers, cockroaches, rats, dirty hallways, unkempt dogs and children, families who should be reported to CPS, loud couples fighting at all hours, unemployed men playing video games and daydrinking, pot and regular smokers smoking in public areas, no heat/hot water on the regular, no cooking gas for over a year, a super who doesn't know how to clean...
Advice to owner:
Stop being a slumlord.

Landlord unresponsive and neglectful
Former Tenant
Pros:
Cheap. Great neighborhood. Lovely neighbors.
Cons:
Awful landlord. Neglectful and openly ignore tenants. We didn’t have cooking gas for 14 months. Problems with head. Pests and cleanliness is a constant problem.
Advice to owner:
High a new management company. It’s run like a slum lord and these tenants (many who’ve been here 15-20 years) deserve far better.

Rent somewhere else
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nothing, absolutely nothing.
Cons:
Rent somewhere else. Building has 90+ open violations including rats and roach infestations. We didn't have cooking gas for 18 months. The common areas are absolutely disgusting. The management company couldn't care less about the tenant's safety and health. Loud neighbors who let their kids run free and unsupervised will keep you up until 4 am. Some units have holes on the ceiling and floors, rotting floors, peeling paint. There's someone who throws their garbage out of the window and down the stairs.
