Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews for 48 St Nicholas Place note spacious, sunny apartments with new appliances and convenient in-unit laundry. The building's location and quiet neighborhood are appreciated, as well as dedicated superintendents praised for kindness and responsiveness by some. However, frequent package theft, inconsistent maintenance, and pest issues like mice and roaches recur across multiple reviews. Noise and disruptive neighbors, particularly smoking and alley misuse, detract from the community atmosphere. Water pressure problems and occasional elevator outages were also mentioned. Management responsiveness varies, with some tenants citing slow or minimal support. Overall, the building offers good space and location but could improve security, maintenance, and community management.

Decent building, nice super
Former Tenant
Pros:
The super at the time was really kind and responsive. The apartment itself was nice, spacious and sunny. It was nicely painted and had new appliances as well, including laundry in unit, which was helpful.
Cons:
Some neighbors were so kind and community-minded. Newer neighbors were quite loud, had to move out because of incessant smoking in apartments which would fill our unit. Management support was minimal. Had mice running into the apartment as well, pest control tried to help but the issue persisted throughout our three year lease
