You get what you pay for…

Pros

The building itself was once beautiful. The apartment is spacious with great sunlight and views. Some older details still intact. Some great neighbors and perfect spot on gorgeous tree-lined riverside drive

Cons

The halls are pretty dirty and some apartments are in bad need of repair. The trash situation is pretty gross with lots of rats. Some problems with leaks.

Advice to the owners

Take care of the dirty halls, the trash, the leaks please!!

A Dangerous Slum

Pros

The apartment did look nice on first glance, and was very spacious. The location is good.

Cons

Pipes have not been updated in a century, water pours from the ceiling and causes mold. When I lived here, I had a permanent sinus infection from the mold. Management is unresponsive or lies, maintenance staff lied about fixing the problem dozens of times, and would just plaster and paint over the mold.

Advice to the owners

Sell the property to someone who will not be negligent and put tenants in danger!
